Athletic Performance

Chiropractic care with a sports trained and licensed Chiropractor is viewed as generally safe and even encouraged by MD's, PT's and other movement specialist. Did you know that the Chief Medical Doctor for the US Olympic team was a Chiropractor!

Chiropractic has become such a fixture in the Olympics that a chiropractor, William Moreau, DC, DACNSP, serves as managing director of sports medicine for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and chief medical officer for Team USA at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Chiropractic care is the health maintenance of the spinal column, disc and related nervous system structures without drugs or surgery. Using the art and science of adjusting misaligned joints, especially of the spine, Dr. Megan can help to reduce spinal nerve stress and therefore help promote health throughout the body. Our adjustment room consists of special tables and myofascial tools to assist in your recovery while also keeping you safe and comfortable during your treatment.

During intense periods of training, there are several changes that occur in your body’s endocrine and physiological systems to create an environment conducive for muscular growth and performance. The nervous system is the master communication system to all the body systems. Keeping the spine aligned helps to remove stressors that could interfere with the communication channels and driving the entire body work more effectively.
Chiropractic care helps drive high-performance outcomes by helping the athlete to reload and get ready for the next day of practice or competition grind. Dr. Megan's goal is to help them recover and physically perform the next day so the athlete can train on schedule to reach the pinnacle of their potential for their event.
